My name’s Dan, and I live in Cornwall, UK — a place that inspires everything I make.

For years, I struggled with something simple: every time I used shower gel, my skin would itch for hours afterwards. I just accepted it as normal… until I tried a bar of handmade cold process soap. To my surprise, the itch disappeared completely.

That moment changed everything. I became obsessed with understanding why — learning the craft, experimenting with natural oils, and perfecting my own recipes. What began as a hobby quickly became a passion. I’ve spent years (and more money than I’d like to admit) testing, refining, and creating the perfect cold process soap.

Now, I’m taking the next step — sharing it with the world.

Roar was born from my love of Cornwall and the wild outdoors. Each bar is inspired by this rugged landscape — from the moors to the coast — and crafted for men who live adventurously, who come home caked in salt, mud, and stories.
